Jennifer Garner to Duet With Andrea Bocelli on New Album

Somehow Jennifer Garner has found the time in between starting an organic baby food company, playing saxophone for her celebrity friends, being Hollywood’s most beautiful woman, and kicking just about everyone’s ass to show off her voice on Andrea Bocelli’s upcoming album. Truly, how does she do it? Does Starbucks have something on their secret menu that can give me the energy she has?!

Garner will duet with the Italian opera singer, who she’s been friends with for quite some time, on an extended special edition release of Bocelli’s Si, now titled Si Forever: The Diamond Edition. Together they’ll sing “Dormi Dormi Lullaby” in both Italian and English, a song which was inspired by the chorale “Jesus bleibetmeine Freude” from J.S. Bach’s Cantata BWV 147.

Although Garner is known primarily for her acting rather than her voice, her vocals appeared on the song “Doin’ It (All For My Baby)” on the Mother’s Day movie soundtrack, and she also sang “Since I Fell For You” as Sydney Bristow in a season one episode of Alias. Oh, and she recorded a song called “My Heart Is So Full of You” for Unexpected Dreams – Songs from the Stars, a celebrity compilation album released in 2006, which you can listen to ahead:

Gorgeous, right? You’ll be able to hear more of Garner’s singing when the special edition of Si is released on Nov. 8 from Sugar Music and Decca Records.

Apple Nabs J.J. Abrams Limited Series Starring Jennifer Garner In ‘Alias’ Reunion

Thanks to Deadline for this exciting news!

Almost two decades after Alias catapulted J.J. Abrams into the top ranks of TV writers-producers-directors and made Jennifer Garner a star, the two are reuniting for My Glory Was I Had Such Friends.

In a competitive situation, Apple has given a straight-to-series order to the one-hour limited drama starring and executive produced by Garner and executive produced by Abrams via his Bad Robot Productions banner.

Based on the 2017 memoir of the same name by Amy Silverstein, the story showcases the power of friendship and the resilience of the human spirit as it follows an extraordinary group of women who supported Silverstein as she waited for a second life-saving heart transplant.

The series, produced by Bad Robot Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television where the company has been under a deal, is written and executive produced by Karen Croner, who penned the 2017 feature adaptation of the book The Tribes of Palos Verdes that starred Garner. Also executive producing are Bad Robot’s Ben Stephenson and the memoir’s author Amy Silverstein.

In a competitive situation, Bad Robot acquired Silverstein My Glory Was I Had Such Friends in 2017, shortly after the memoir’s release, to develop as a limited series.

The project expands Apple’s relationship with Abrams and Bad Robot, who also have half-hour romantic dramedy Little Voice, from the Waitress duo of Sara Bareilles and Jessie Nelson, at the streaming upstart with a straight-to-series order.

Abrams famously fought to get Garner to be the star of his cult ABC action drama series Alias after she had appeared on his first series, Felicity, which he had co-created with Matt Reeves. Both went on to have big movie careers but remained close.

Juno star Garner, who recently returned to TV with HBO’s Camping, is repped by CAA, Management 360, and Sloane Offer Weber and Dern. Silverstein is repped by CAA and Fletcher & Company. Croner is repped by Verve, Anonymous Content and Jackoway Tyerman.

Lena Dunham Lands New HBO Show With Jennifer Garner Set to Star

Jennifer Garner is returning to television in a new series from “Girls” creators Lena Dunham and Jenni Konner.

Garner is set to star in “Camping,” which has landed an eight-episode order from HBO. Written by Dunham and Konner — who will executive produce through their company A Casual Romance — “Camping” is based on the U.K. series of the same name created by Julia Davis. It tells the story of Walt’s 45th birthday, which was supposed to be a delightful weekend back to nature, at least according to his obsessively organized and aggressively controlling wife Kathryn. But when the camping trip gathers Kathryn’s meek sister, holier than thou ex-best friend and a free-spirited Tagalong in one place, it becomes a weekend of tested marriages and woman on woman crime that won’t soon be forgotten.

Davis is also serving as exec producer, along with Christine Langan, and Ilene S. Landress.

Konner and Lena Dunham describe Garner’s role of Kathryn Siddell-Bauers as “messy, tough and provocative and really really fun. We love Jennifer’s restraint and comedic timing, and we can’t wait for the warmth and intelligence she’ll bring to our central character, Kathryn. It’s truly a dream to have her first on our call sheet. Now we just have to write her some stunts.”

The new series is the first for Dunham and Konner since their HBO comedy “Girls” ended in 2017. Over six seasons, the show was nominated for 19 Primetime Emmy Awards, including twice for best comedy series and twice for Dunham as best actress in a comedy series.

Garner was nominated for four Emmys for her role as CIA agent Sydney Bristow on “Alias,” which aired on ABC from 2001-2006. Her film credits include “Dallas Buyers Club,” “13 Going on 30” and the upcoming features “Love Simon” and “Peppermint.” She is represented by CAA, Nicole King at Management 360, and Harris Hartman and Jason Sloane of Sloane, Offer, Weber and Dern.

Jennifer Garner Wants to Feed Your Kids the “Best Nourishment” With Once Upon a Farm

Jennifer is one of the co-founders of a new company called Once Upon a Farm. E!Online did an article to help you learn more about the company and their purpose.

Attention parents: Jennifer Garner may just be behind your kids’ next favorite food.

The Hollywood actress and former Annie’s president John Foraker have joined Cassandra Curtis and Ari Raz to announce the expansion of Once Upon a Farm.

“As a mom of three and Save the Children artist ambassador, I am passionate about childhood nutrition and making sure we are leaving a healthier and happier planet for the next generation,” Jennifer said in a statement. “Once Upon a Farm helps parents keep their promise to deliver the best nourishment for their children’s bodies and souls.”

The organic family food company, which currently offers a line of cold-pressed organic baby foods and applesauce, already has plans to grow into new categories.

“I had been looking for a while to partner with an early-stage brand in the food space. And as a mom with three kids, I have three lunch boxes to pack each day and understand the problems that must be solved with serving fresh food to young children,” Jennifer shared with Living Maxwell. “My mother made every single meal for me, and I have always been a big believer in staying connected to the earth, which grows our food.”

She continued, “In my work with Save the Children, where I have been an ambassador for the last five years, I have visited a ton of families in rural America, and kids just do not have access to fresh organic food. Even though I have advocated for this issue in the government at both a state and national level, I understand that business drives change and wanted to find a company that could get nutritious food out to kids.”
Going forward, Jennifer says she will be involved with the company on a daily basis and will be part of sales calls, design and “making sure the world knows we exist.”

As for curious kids and parents wanting to try the products, you’re in luck.

Once Upon a Farm is available online through the company’s website and national grocery stores including select Wegmans, Kroger and Whole Foods Market stores.

Jennifer Garner Joins Lakeshore & Pierre Morel-Helmed Revenge Thriller ‘Peppermint’

Thank you Deadline for this exciting news!

EXCLUSIVE: Jennifer Garner is in talks to star in Peppermint, the Chad St. John-scripted action film for Lakeshore that will be directed by Pierre Morel. At the same time, the film is in the process of moving: STXfilms is in talks to distribute the film worldwide. It looked like Lionsgate had secured worldwide rights during Cannes, but that arrangement has fallen apart.

The high-action revenge thriller premise has been likened to John Wick, with a female protagonist. When her husband and daughter are gunned down in a drive-by, the heroine wakes up from a coma and spends years learning to become a lethal killing machine. On the 10th anniversary of her family’s death, she targets everyone she holds responsible, the gang that committed the act, the lawyers that got them off, and the corrupt cops that enabled the murderous incidents. Lakeshore’s Tom Rosenberg and Gary Lucchesi are producing.

Garner will hone action chops not seen since her breakthrough role as the ass kicking operative Sydney Bristow in the JJ Abrams-created series Alias, which led to her playing Elektra in the Marvel film Daredevil and a solo spinoff movie. She has more recently become known for her work in such films as Dallas Buyers Club and Miracles From Heaven. WME and Management 360 rep Garner. Morel and St.John are UTA and Morel is managed by Sentient Entertainment.

Jennifer Garner Joins Bryan Cranston’s ‘Wakefield’

Variety has exclusively shared the news of Jennifer’s new project!

Jennifer Garner is starring opposite Bryan Cranston as his wife in the drama “Wakefield” with Robin Swicord directing from her own script.

Production has started in Los Angeles. Bonnie Curtis and Julie Lynn are producing through their Mockingbird Pictures banner with Broadway producers Wendy Federman and Carl Moellenberg.

The film is based on a short story of the same name by E.L. Doctorow — which is a retelling of a story by Nathaniel Hawthorne, also called “Wakefield” — about a man who unexpectedly leaves his wife for an extended period of time.

Cranston revealed the project during a November interview on “The Howard Stern Radio Show,” explaining that he will play a married Manhattan lawyer who sees a raccoon in the attic of his home and winds up staying in the attic for several months due to a nervous breakdown. He also said his character will become romantically involved with a younger woman at some point in the story.

Cranston’s character will depart his family after being left stranded and recalling a fight he had with his wife the previous night. When he arrives at home, he decides not to enter his house but instead climbs the stairs of his carriage house-turned-garage up to the attic space — and lives there for the next nine months, emerging only at night and rummaging through trash cans for food while watching his family adjust to life without him much faster than he expects.

Curtis and Lynn partnered under the Mockingbird Pictures banner after “Albert Nobbs,” which was nominated for three Academy Awards. Mockingbird produced “Last Days in the Desert,” which premiered at Sundance, and Rob Spera’s “The Sweet Life,” which is currently in post-production.

Federman and Moellenberg have together won 11 Tony Awards for Broadway productions including “Hair,” “Spring Awakening,” “War Horse,” “Pippin,” “Death of a Salesman” and “Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime.” They also produced last year’s Broadway hit “All the Way,” for which Cranston won a Tony as Lyndon B. Johnson.

“We joyfully supported Bryan on his way to the Tony stage with ‘All the Way,’ and we are looking forward to joining him on this cinematic journey with ‘Wakefield,’” said Federman and Moellenberg.

Red Granite International is handling foreign sales.

Garner is starring in Robbie Brenner’s The Tribes of Palos Verdes, and will next appear in Columbia’s “Miracles from Heaven” and in Barry Sonnenfeld’s “Nine Lives.”

Cranston is currently starring in “Trumbo” as blacklisted screenwriter Dalton Trumbo, directed by Jay Roach, and will be seen in drug-sting drama “The Infiltrator.” He won five Emmys for “Breaking Bad.”

Swicord’s screenplay credits include “Memoirs of a Geisha,” “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” and “The Jane Austen Book Club,” which she also directed.
